Posters and Poster Printing

Posters and Poster Printing

At BambooInk, we dig high-quality poster printing. Maybe it’s the thrill of producing graphics that command attention. Maybe it’s the fun of working with eye-catching colors that pop in large format. Maybe it’s that feel-good emotion of knowing our clients’ branded messages will resonate with their end consumers.

Custom poster printing is a popular option for both large and small business, as well as educational institutions and non-profits.

Is your organization in need of a custom printed poster?

Typical venues and applications where you’ll find custom printed posters:

  • Tradeshow posters
  • Conference signage and posters
  • Retail signage
  • Window graphics
  • Poster prints
  • Photo poster prints
  • Mounted posters
  • Non-mounted posters
  • Permanent signage
  • Temporary signage
  • Backlit posters and signage
  • Non-backlit posters and signage

What are the benefits of using posters?

From a marketing and business perspective, printing a run of custom posters makes good sense. Custom printed posters are cost effective, offer endless design possibilities, high visibility, and lasting impressions through continuous exposure.

Let’s break it down.

Cost effective

Posters are cost effective – especially when printed in bulk. Compare the cost of printing posters to the cost of billboard advertising or advertising in magazines or newspapers.

Endless design possibilities

Posters provide endless design possibilities. Enjoy a wide range of sizes, shapes, colors, and attention-grabbing graphics.

High visibility

Posters are high visibility print products. You can hang them just about anywhere (check local laws and venue restrictions), and if that ‘anywhere’ happens to also be a high-traffic area? Well, then. Now we’re talkin’!

Lasting impressions through continuous exposure

Posters create lasting impressions through continuous exposure. Hang ’em up. Leave ’em up. Depending on occasion and venue, poster messaging often offers greater staying power than read-once and move-on messaging.

We’re happy to discuss.

Materials used in custom poster printing

Materials commonly used in custom poster printing include:

  • High-gloss paper
  • Semi-gloss paper
  • 20-millimeter styrene

Laminating may or may not be required. Grommets or another mounting mechanism such as framing may be something to consider.

What do we mean when we say styrene?

Styrene is a lightweight, flexible, plastic printing product that’s great for displaying just about anywhere – indoors, outdoors – you name it. (Although, indoor is preferred.) Full color printing really pops with styrene, but you could certainly stick to black and white.

Where you’d typically find samples of styrene poster and sign printing:

  • Retail signage
  • Sports stadiums
  • College campuses
  • Restaurant menu boards
  • Conference signage
  • Any kind of “wall poster” hanging that requires longevity and strong wear

4 More “things to know” about styrene

  1. You can print both one- and two-sided
  2. You can custom cut styrene into just about any shape
  3. Smaller printed signs will most likely require a “bleed” of at least .25 inches, whereas a 1-inch bleed will most likely be required for larger signage such as posters
  4. Because it’s a heavier weight than paper, discuss hanging options with your printer. You may need grommets, framing, and the like.
